About

In 1993 I stumbled upon the art of stonework after teaching environmental ed for three years, when hired by a prominent local landscaping company. I have been practicing the art of fine stonework throughout Maine, southern New Hampshire, and eastern Massachusetts since. What I thought was a short-term transition later became a means to put myself through school at the University of New Hampshire, where I graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology in 2000. I have owned and operated Atlas Stoneworks LLC since 2000.

I was fortunate to apprentice with some of the best masons in the area, who instilled in me an appreciation for stonework as an art, coupled with the need to do the best job possible at all times in order to create lasting art. Stonework should not be temporary! This is an industry that truly epitomizes the phrase: “you get what you pay for.” A quality installation, and quality customer service form the path to creating a good reputation in the business community, and the community as a whole, and represent the only means of furthering my business.

I fully appreciate that when working I am entering into a sensitive relationship with the client involving both their most cherished possession: their property, and their hard-earned money. I go into every job with a great sense of respect for that relationship. If my client is not satisfied, I have not done my job.

I am fortunate to be surrounded by a crew with the same appreciation for hard work and attention to detail.
